Jack the Ripper: A 140-Year-Old Mystery Potentially Solved

The shadowy figure known as Jack the Ripper has haunted the annals of crime history since the late 19th century. Responsible for the gruesome murders of five women in London’s Whitechapel district between 1888 and 1891, the killer’s identity has remained a topic of intense speculation. Historian Russell Edwards now asserts that DNA evidence has identified Aaron Kosminski, a 23-year-old Polish immigrant, as the infamous murderer. Edwards’ investigation centered on a blood-stained shawl found at one of the crime scenes, which he claims contains genetic material linking Kosminski to the murders. While this revelation has ignited both excitement and skepticism within the forensic community, it offers a fresh perspective on a case that has baffled experts for over a century.
